Hello all,
I'm writing to issue a call for bids for someone willing to become the
editor of a CELF-funded Embedded Linux Wiki. We've been discussing this
for the past few months, and information about the (nascent) project
is at: http://tree.celinuxforum.org/CelfPubWiki/EmbeddedLinuxWiki
Basically, I'd like to hear from anyone who might be interested
in being contracted with by CELF for the role of Editor of the site.
I expect that during the startup phase, this would be a full-time
task, but that during the growth phase (to last one year initially,
with possible extensions into the future), the activity would be part
time.
What I need from you, if you are interested, is a resume showing
your qualifications and experience, and a 1 to 2 page description
of the work items you would perform for each phase. You can get
some ideas from the public wiki page mentioned above. I'll also
need your quote for the cost to CELF for these activities, and a
timeline for completion.
Please note that this project is not yet approved by the board of
directors of CELF. Whether or not I can obtain approval will
depend on the quality and price of the bids I receive, and can
propose to the Board.
Please contact me as soon as possible if you have any questions
about the project, or interest in taking this job. I need all
bids submitted no later than August 30, 2006. (But I'd greatly
appreciate it if I could at least get an idea that you plan to bid
before then.)
Thanks and regards,
-- Tim
